Sylvia Lagerquist Named a Woman to Watch by MACPA

The Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) has announced that Sylvia Lagerquist, president of Haines & Lagerquist CPAs, has been named a nominee and one of eleven “Experienced Leader” finalists for the 2015 Women to Watch Awards program.
The Women to Watch Awards recognizes women leaders who have made significant contributions to the accounting profession and who demonstrate the values and achievements essential to the future of the profession.
The awards are given in two categories: Emerging Leaders and Experienced Leaders. Emerging Leaders are those women who are up-and-coming stars in their organizations, while Experienced Leaders are those who have established their roles as leaders in their organizations by advancing to the highest levels of management or ownership, and by mentoring those following in their footsteps.
The awards ceremony will be held at the Hotel at Arundel Preserve on Friday, September 18, 2015.
